There never seems to have been so much"I"

as today. To portray that narcissistic

desire for self-expression, people

regularly throw their own personality

to the table. The manifest portrays

the dark art of tactic manipulation

and domestic abuse and describes

purposeful emotional harm to a person

to make them doubt their own integrity.

It is the artist's way to support survivors

of narcissistic abuse to

take back control of their lives.

It is estimated that approximately

35% of women worldwide have

experienced sexual harassment in

their lifetime. Rape is an unlawful act.

Accurate statistics regarding

rape are notoriously difficult to obtain.

The biggest complication is that most

victims of sexual violence choose not

to report it. While the majority of

sexual assault victims are female,

males around the world also experience

sexual harassment, sexual assault,

and rape every day. Transgender

people and those with disabilities

are twice as likely to be victims of

sexual assault or rape. 70% of

rapes are committed by someone

the victim knows.

Pinned to the spot. Frozen. With a two ton brick heart. The cardiac muscle tightens, paralized

Venom spits across limbs and mouth.

Mud an puss fill the body till the vomit drips from the stomach. And puke and blood boils from every vain.

Screaming. Hating. Clinging to sanity. Lungs raw. Throat black.
Carved like an animal.
Sucking the bones and the flesh of her rotten body.

The storm that pounds her brain. Until her soul leaves her unbearable body. And the sound of her frozen voice sings into the ashes.

Something that’s incredibly violent suddenly becomes

sort of ordinary, people don’t talk about it as violence.

The artist focuses on violence and helps to uncover a fuller picture of sexual aggression and victimization. And the

lasting effect it has on survivors. When forming a more complete and accurate narrative, a survivor should not use the words

“I was raped”.

But use appropriate and effective language, and put the responsibility where it belongs: “that person raped me”.

The artist expresses art to help survivors to use their voice against injustice, and continues to raise

sexual violence awareness.

On 24 Febuary 2022 Vladimir Putin ordered his military to enter the Russian-controlled areas of southeast Ukraine following a decision to recognise the territories as independent states.

The artist made a personal manifesto to express dissent and to protest against injustice and war. A voice to oppressed groups, whilst enhancing the relevance and legitimacy of the process itself. The use of art can be strategic, particularly during negotiations and mediation processes when verbal communication reaches its limits.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

Anti Racism and Discrimination Display

The portraits portray two young school girls.

60 years after Ruby Nell Bridges Hall desegrated an all white school as the 1st African-American child, patriotism is still used by some as a thin veil for white supremacy: the belief that white people are superior to people of other races and thus should dominate them .

Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a decentralized political and social movement protesting against incidents of police brutality and all racially motivated violence.

In 2020 the US was convulsed by worldwide protests over the death of G. Floyd in police custody.

Much of today's racism is deeply entrenched in centuries of colonialism and enslavemen. To this day bigotry, racism and persecution of those that are different, are covered under patriotism.

The Makeable Mind - Solo Entry Noorderlicht Photo Exhibition 2021 Groningen - Friesland

The edited photograph {Publisher} ‘Engendered’ starts with the observer staring at an eye that acts like a camera, the cells in the retina absorbing and converting the light to impulses which are transferred along the optic nerve to the brain. The brain translates the image into something we can understand. However; current events show the world a situation in which someone only sees news and information that supports what they already believe and like, especially a situation created through visual technologies as a result of algorithms that choose the results of someone’s searches, exposing our own reality.

Writing to the Future (SNDT) promotes connection and understanding, reflection and an inclusive voice that the world needs during the Covid Pandemic. People who would not meet each other in normal life are matched and meet each other through correspondence. These letters provide nuance, connection and different perspectives on the Pandemic that started in January 2020.
